Digital Signage in Cardiff

We have many clients in South Wales and here we highlight a couple of very interesting projects, both involving outdoor digital signage in Cardiff.
1. Wales Millennium Centre Outdoor Screens
Wales Millennium Centre is an iconic landmark in Cardiff and is the No1 visitor attraction in Wales. It is one of the UK’s top cultural attractions outside London, attracting over 1 million visitors every year.
In February 2013 they decided to replace the existing advertising signs. They had all the usual poster problems that are associated with short print runs, causing time delays and expense for updating. Existing monolith poster signs were replaced with imotion G5 65″ double sided digital outdoor signs. Digital totems added whole new level of advertising potential. The displays provided were 65″ 2,500 nits High-bright Displays that were weather and vandal proof stainless and had a sealed signage compartment with Internal Heating and Air Conditioning, Temperature & Humidity monitoring, Full remote control and status logging & reporting with email facilities.
The outdoor screens were a great success and were still working as well as ever but after eight years they wanted to update their units with bigger 75” screens and more modern design. We installed imotion G7 75” Portrait Freestanding double sided outdoor totems – Benefits of the larger G7 outdoor display screens include even lower power consumption, greener HVAC system, even more health monitoring and system protections. The screens are designed to run in temperatures ranging from -40c to +55c. These screens have the best visual performance, highest operation reliability and longest useful life time on the market.
2. Pink Self Storage – Outdoor Screen with ANPR Access System
The storage site uses our ANPR triggered access control systems with an outdoor digital screen to display relevant information to the customer such as account health, H&S information, location number of storage room etc. Our Automatic Number Plate Recognition system automates the entry / exit process for to the premises. In this installation a 46″ outdoor screen that is both weather proof and vandal proof is used. This screen is freeestanding but they can also be mounted onto walls, posts, etc. Communications can be over the 4G/5G mobile networks.
