Digital Signage installed in award winning museum

We have recently installed digital signage in The Hepworth Wakefield who were awarded Museum of the year in 2017. The museum, contacted us to provide digital signage in their reception and entrance areas to replace leaflets and paper advertising material which were expensive to produce, to help visitors identify where everything is located within the museum and enable messages and public information to be quickly and easily displayed.

The Hepworth museum has a very minimalistic, modern feel to it and is the first of its kind in the United Kingdom as the architects selected mostly bespoke materials to emphasise the gallery’s sculptural appearance. We had to consider this during our installation to achieve the aims of the digital signage while ensuring it fitted in with the look and feel of the museum.

We installed a series of high-brightness 49” ultra-slim commercial displays in the reception area that are highly visible and a 43” high brightness unit was installed set into the wall at the entrance to the main museum. Content can be uploaded and scheduled remotely by museum staff using our squareVIEW DSA secure cloud content management system.

The installation has proven to be a big success and well received by staff as well as those visiting the museum.
“The screens have been a great asset to the overall look and feel of the museum and have made communicating with visitors much easier” said the Head of Marketing for the museum.
